The Conference is over, and sadly, we must all leave sunny, warm Florida and go back to our normal working environments.
As usual, the conference was a great opportunity to network with other VARs and customers, and to learn the latest information about APPX. The sessions were well attended, and the one that attracted the most interest was the preview of 4.3.
The primary goal of Release 4.3 will be to improve the APPX runtime environment by making it more graphical, more intuitive, easier to use, and more consistent with other Windows based products. Steve Frizzell demonstrated some of the features, such as movable popup windows, sorting scrolling data by simply clicking on the heading, and full screen editing (where both a header frame and a scrolling child process could be accessed at the same time).
Existing applications will inherit significant new and improved functionality as a result of this release.
