New format for Email Registrations
In the past, APPX users have had two problems with importing emailed APPX registrations. If the registration was included in the body of the email (as was often the case), some email programs would delete extraneous spaces, CR/LF characters, etc., after which the registration would not be in the expected format for the import. If the registration was emailed as an attachment, it would be in HTML format and the user had to remember to save it as a text file before being able to import it into APPX. In order to eliminate these problems, ASI recently changed their method of emailing registrations, both directly and from the VAR Online System. APPX registrations now are always emailed as text file attachments. This avoids the editing of the registration by email programs and allows the attachment file to be saved to disk already in the proper text format. Thanks to ASI for this solution to the complaints received about importing registrations.
